Craziness starts with cozy eggs…
Ahem. Here is the second project from Weekend Knitting.
You know that you are starting to lose it when you knit wool sweaters for your eggs or your soap bottles (or anything else that doesn’t need a sweater, for that matter); but they are so cute that I couldn’t resist. I was really hoping that this sweater might fit a barbie when I was done, but I think I am going to have to work on that. It probably would fit a barbie, if you could get the neck hole over her head! It is adorable and although I had a few little problems, I will probably make tons of these…because everyone needs cozy eggs!!!
Sorry that my posts are not grammatically correct tonight; I’m very tired and maybe I’ll fix them sometime when I’m awake…or maybe I’ll just make another egg sweater :)

Well, I bought another new book ;) Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick is a wonderful book with tons of great projects. I have started at the first one and am thinking of just going cover to cover with this one! I like almost all of the projects and have so far made two of them.
The picture to the left is the first project, which is a chenille flower washcloth. It is very pretty and soft, although the yarn is not very giving and doesn’t stretch. I really like it and it isn’t as BIG as it looks! It will probably be for Taylor to play with or use as a washcloth (unless I decide I like it too much.)
Baldwin Baby Gifts
Here are the gifts that I made for one of our cousins who is going to have a baby girl. She is due at the end of this month!
First, are the 100% cotton baby booties. These are one of my favorite patterns and are so quick and easy to make. Second, I made an initial receiving blanket. It is pink and white with a bubbly design. The back is solid white. I used the initial b since I didn’t know for sure what the baby girl’s name would be. I used ‘b’ for Baldwin, but I have since been told that it could stand for blanket or baby as well :) Last, in the picture is a rattle that we added to the gift (it is Taylor’s favorite rattle, so many babies might receive a look-alike from us!!)
