Sadness & Loss

September 28th, 2004

This will be a very short entry. I just wanted to let those of you who don’t already, that I had a miscarriage. Hopefully we will be trying again in a few months for another baby. We’ll have to see. It has been very stressful.

On a happier note, Kristopher is doing great and I am so happy to be home with him. We have a great time and I love being able to just clean the house, do things with him and be a MOM! (& a wife). I get to see Kody a little more than before too, which is nice, since I didn’t get to see him AT ALL before!!

Good Night

Big News

August 23rd, 2004

Well, it has been forever since I have written a ‘News Entry’. I just have a couple of things to share today. I no longer work at Westside Veterinary Service in Murray, KY. My last day was August 14th. Kody and I decided that I needed to be home with Kristopher, instead of sending him to a babysitter, that we barely know. Kristopher is very excited about me being home and so am I!

We also have some BIG news. I am pregnant, so we are having another baby! I went to the doctor (actually I saw a nurse practitioner) last Friday. She told me all the good things I am supposed to be doing (excercise and what to eat, since I am a vegetarian). She also got me a prescription for pre-natal vitamins that are chewable:) My due date is April 6, and I will be having a c-section for sure this time! So far I have been having some trouble with nausea, but haven’t gotten too sick yet. I will try to do better with the news and keep everyone updated. We are all very excited about having another baby!

News From Tabitha

April 4th, 2004

Kody has asked me many times over the last couple of months, “Why don’t you ever write any news?”

So here is my news. I hope that this will satisfy Kody’s hunger for news for awhile!

As Kody has previously told you all I passed my VTNE in January and I have also completed my paperwork. I recieved my certificate about a week and a half ago (suitable for framing) that tells the world that I am certified. I also recieved my license in the mail yesterday. It is a beautiful blue card that expires in September, when I have to renew it and turn in my Continuing Education (CE)!

As Kody also told you all, we broke down and are making payments on a WONDERFUL 2002 Ford Taurus SES. Hopefully he really will get a picture of it up here soon! Kristopher loves to ride in the car. The first couple of weeks we had it, he wouldn’t get out of it without a fuss. Neither would we!

As he also said, we had to stop our search for a home to buy, but we may move anyway, if we can find a suitable house to rent. The neighborhood we are in has turned for the worse as of late and I don’t know if I feel good about staying here if we can find something better for our situation.

And now the big news, that you haven’t already heard from Kody. We are sick. Kristopher has RSV which has caused slight pneumonia. We found this out on Wednesday at the doctor. Since then we have made several trips to the doctor and have had many medicines to get into an unhappy little boy. He has to breathe a steroid (budesonide) twice a day, and a bronchodilator (albuterol) four times a day. He also has oral medications and eye drops to hopefully cure him. He is doing better and we have been able to keep him at home instead of the hospital, so things are looking up! However, Kody is terribly ill. He can barely talk, his throat is killing him, his eyes are red and he is tired and feverish. I got lucky and only had a slight fever and little sore throat for a couple days. Everyone please hope that we get better quickly!

I think that is all the news I have for now. I hope everyone is doing well and that you don’t get sick in the near future. Have a great week!

Happy New Year!

January 2nd, 2004

Although it is already January 2, I still wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I hope life is proceeding wonderfully for everyone.

We all had a wonderful Christmas and are having a Happy New Year! I think we all recieved just about what we wanted and we thank you all for everything! Now we just have to prepare for 2 birthdays. As many of you know Kody and Kristopher will be celebrating their birthdays on January 15. Kody will be 24 and Kristopher will be 2 years old (or 24 months)!!

I wanted to update everyone on what I am doing as well. I have been accepted to Murray State as a graduate student, but have decided not to start the program right now. If I am taking the planned class, it would be hard for me to get full time hours at work and I am supposed to be providing the majority of our family income while Kody finishes school. This will hopefully not be too far off in the future! I may start in the fall or next spring, but need to concentrate on working and being a Mommy for right now. I will be in Frankfort, KY on January 15 and 16 to take the National Veterinary Technician Examination (NVTE). Everyone please think about me and pray that I pass it! I’m starting to get very nervous about it.

I hope once again that everyone is okay. Check out our Photographs section. We are uploading photos as fast as possible. There are several new batches!
