This was the second project out of my new book (Great Knitted Gifts). It is a smaller version of the ribbed hat in the book, because I thought it would be a cute hat for him. It is not made with wool, since I didn’t have the wool yet when I started it! I used worsted weight acrylic (the Caron Simply Soft that I like). It turned out really pretty and he loves it. I didn’t make it long enough to flip the brim up, but I like it better this way on him! In the pictures it doesn’t have a pompom on the top as in the book either, but I am going to add one. Kristopher wants ‘a ball on top’. I am working on the actual pattern size with sportweight wool right now and hopefully will be able to post that hat in the next month or two. Let me know what you think!
