Preemie/Newborn 100% Cotton Hat
This is the same hat pattern as the rose and blue ones. I got some 100% cotton yarn to try out and I wanted to have a cute hat for our little girl to wear home from the hospital that wasn’t too warm for the end of September. This color is called Orange Sherbet and is made by Peaches and Cream! I love the names. Anyway, I had to make the pattern TONS smaller because my first try with the cotton yarn and this pattern made a huge hat that fits Kristopher (who is 3 1/2 years old). Needless to say the hat will not fit a baby. Unfortunately the hat is big enough around, but is not long enough for him to wear. He has requested one just like it that is long enough though, so I am working on it now. I like the cotton yarn, and it helps me to keep my stitches looser, because it is hard to pull it tighter. It shrinks a little, but makes a really nice looking item. I want to try a couple of washcloths with this yarn too. I have some of the sherbet left over to use for one.
Infant Ear Flap Hat
This is a gift I made for a baby boy. It is made with caron so soft yarn and is beautiful! It is an easy hat to make and hardly takes any time at all. It has a seam up the back, so I don’t have to worry about not being able to increase yet. I am probably going to make one of these for everyone who has a baby…so I hope you guys like them :) The pattern shows it using 2 different colors of yarn, so maybe I will try one with different colors. This one is to match a blanket though and the blanket is solid. I am almost done with it, so hopefully there will be a picture of it up here soon!

This is a very easy pattern to make for a baby hat. I think it is beautiful as well! I picked this color to make a blanket and hat for our baby girl (who we still don’t have a name for!). I thought it was a nice rose color and it will match the things I have bought for her crib. I like pink, but there is already too much bright pinkaround here:) Anyway, the hat pattern is the same as another I will post, but I left the ear flaps off of it. I thought they looked a little boyish. The pattern is also for a 6 month old and I used a few less stitches so that it would be smaller. Hopefully it will fit a 0-3 month old baby!

Well, if you haven’t been to my site in awhile, you have probably noticed that there are some big changes. Kody helped me change the whole site into posts instead of pages and now it looks a little better and instead of going to a page to find what you want you just pick the category or look at everything! I also added a page about the site and there is a contact me page. The pages are now at the top of the site.
I have been knitting a lot and have made 2 hats from a pattern that my Grandmother sent. They are really cute and I will post them soon. I made them to go with the blankets that I am working on for babies! They match perfectly. I am starting to think that I will never get done with the blankets (at least not until after the babies are born) :)
On the subject of babies…My friend Suzie (and Bill & Boaz) had Lillian on Monday afternoon. She is a beautiful little girl and they are all doing great! I added a link to Suzie’s website under the links in the sidebar. There will probably be a picture of Lillian soon, if you are interested.
I have sold a few more items on ebay, unfortunately the bags and doll hats don’t seem to be very popular right now. I am also trying to sell some tupperware and it is not going real fast. Hopefully they will be bid on before they are over though!
I don’t have much other news for now. I am doing alright, I just can’t do much without feeling like I will collapse. I get so tired. Our baby girl is getting bigger and bigger and feels like she is taking up all the room already! At my next appointment I will schedule my c-section and then we will know what day she will be born, unless she comes early! The doctors don’t think she will, but if she decides to they will just go ahead and do the c-section then. We have been getting quite a few tomatoes from our plants, but they aren’t the best tomatoes. Maybe next year they will be better. Since I haven’t been feeling well, I haven’t been weeding them much either, so they don’t look as pretty and well kept as they did at the start of summer :(
Anyway, I hope that all is well where ever you are! Let me know how you like the new format of the site!
